image Vancouver Startup Week (VSW) is a week-long celebration that builds momentum and fosters connections among entrepreneurs, investors, leaders, and friends within the Greater Vancouver startup community. In 2018 they brought together more than 2,000 people at 108 events, including investor showcases, panel discussions, office visits, and networking events.

This year, from September 13th to 20th, you'll be able to experience events that cover everything startup related: from scaling up with growth strategies and venture capitalism to networking and VR related tech. There will also be returning favourites, such as the Recruitment Fair and Hackathon.

  • You can catch us first at the VanHacks Hackathon on Saturday September 14th! We'll have a booth up at the event at TTT Studios, so come chat with us if you're involved in the Hackathon.
  • Next up, we'll be at the Recruitment Fair at Science World on Monday September 16th from 6-9 pm. Stop by to chat with us about your coding education and get some swag.
  • Finally, we're hosting our own event Ethical Tech YVR: Accessibility in Web Development on Tuesday September 17th at Lighthouse Labs. This will be an evening of us exploring the ways developers can build their websites with accessibility in mind. Come out for a great evening of learning and networking!

At every one of these events, you'll have the opportunity to enter for a chance to win one of our part-time coding courses, so make sure to stop by and see what we have to offer.
