Amber Spencer sparked a love for tech in her previous life as a marketing whiz. After attending our Vancouver Bootcamp, Amber dove into the YVR tech scene and is now working as a Developer with local startup ModernAdvisor. We caught up with Amber to learn more about what she's been up to One Year After Bootcamp!
Grant Winter is one of our original alumni, having graduated from our Web Development Bootcamp in March of 2014. He came to Lighthouse to refresh his career after finding no joy in being a Chiropractor, and now is loving life as a father of a brand new baby and a Rails developer with Vogogo in Calgary.

With our iOS bootcamp, we were blazing a trail as the first iOS developer bootcamp in Canada, so we weren’t sure who our students would be. I don’t think any of us could have anticipated the incredible range of backgrounds that our iOS students came in with, and the amazing careers they’ve gone on to since graduating. Just 6 months after launching, our graduates are working some of the coolest (and most diverse) jobs in development!
At last Friday's Demo Day, not only did we graduate a sweet new group of incredible new Jr. Developers, but we also celebrated the first iOS bootcamp graduates in Canada.
