This program is one of the initial partnership agreements that aims to focus on supporting Canadian workers in various industries. These agreements are designed to assist thousands of workers in finding new career opportunities by providing them with skills training and job placement services. Through these initiatives, workers will be able to contribute to Canada's fastest-growing industries and help address the evolving challenges in the cybersecurity sector. The ultimate goal is to create a dynamic workforce that can drive innovation and support the country's economic growth.

Funding Eligibility Criteria

Currently reside in Canada

Have 3 or more years of work experience in any field, not limited to cybersecurity (including paid and unpaid volunteering and a combination of full-time or part-time work)

Be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or a protected person who has been granted refugee status in Canada

Not have participated in or received funding from any Upskill Canada-funded programs, either currently or in the past.

Have a high school diploma or equivalent

Be at least 18 years old

Be proficient in English (documentation may be requested if secondary or post-secondary education was not completed in English)

Successfully pass the training program admission tests and interview

Understand the dedication and commitment required to complete the intensive retraining program offered

Be legally entitled to work in Canada
